NJS.com CENTRAL OFFICES -- Welcome to The NJS.com Audio Spotlight.

Joining us today is Ramapo girls basketball coach Sandy Gordon, whose team opened its season with a win over Old Tappan, 48-41, on Saturday afternoon. The Green Raiders were led by Sarah Halejian's 15 points and also got offensive contributions from Ana Drehwing (12 points) and Emma Giegerich and Samantha Klie, who each finished with 8 points.

Alex Radetzky had a game high 17 points for Old Tappan, while Shannon Funsch finished with 12 for the Golden Knights, who are in the process of replacing three starters in Chanel Van Dyke, Sam Sinatra and Lisa Jaris.

Gordon talks about the opening night win, which came after her team trailed after each of the first three quarters before putting together a 17-5 run to end the game, the prosepects for this season and why the weather is killing her advanced scouting team.
